Our assistant pastor, Rev. Christo Heiberg, has been set apart for mission work to Africa, in addition to his pastoral calling in Providence. The bulk of his mission work consists of writing projects, teaching, networking with African pastors and (occasionally) raising funds for a worthy project. Since travelling to Africa has become somewhat difficult due to Covid, he has been able to conduct several online Bible Studies with African Christians on a weekly basis. He hopes to resume visiting the continent in the near future.
Providence Community Church has complete direction and control over the use of all donated funds to the African Mission. Supporters of the Africa Mission Project may expect an update by way of a news letter twice a year.
